Body Beautiful

 

You are the landlord of a beautiful home where everything in the home is top of the line.  Some of the best features of the home are the  beautiful Bay windows  that give you a beautiful view of the sky, mountains and all  the beauty of nature around you to enjoy. Sunlight filters in each room where healthy plants can grow and thrive and bring in clean oxygen for you to breathe, the flooring is made from natural materials that are easy to keep clean. Everything in the home is designed for the comfort of the tenants  that are living there.  For years you have had great tenants, they have kept the home in great shape and paid their rent on time.

In time your tenants move out. You find new tenants that seem like they are going to be just as responsible as the previous ones.  But you find out very quickly that you are not going to have the same kind of positive experience that you had with the former tenants.  The new tenants plug up the garbage disposal with stuff that does not go into  the garbage disposal and they stop up the toilet with things that don’t belong in the toilet.  You find out that they are doing drugs and they are beginning to get behind on the rent!  You go over to the property one day to speak with them and you find that the house is a total mess!  The walls are filthy, the floors are dirty, the toilet is backed up and the house smells like garbage, the windows have been covered so that there is no longer a view.   The house is going to need a lot of repairs.  What are you going to do?  Will you burn the house down and build a new one  Or will you kick them out and repair the house? The answer is obvious, right? I am sure you would agree with me that repairing and cleaning the house is the best way to go.  You would unplug the toilet and the garbage disposal, take the dark blinds off of the windows to enjoy the beautiful view, let the sunshine in again,  and the fresh air.

What is the point of this illustration?  The house was just fine as long as it was taken care of, and the first tenant’s took great care of it.  But the new tenants did not.  If you build a house with inferior materials, do you think it will stand very long well the same thing happens to the body.  If you were buying protection for your home, would it be the best you could buy or would you settle for just anything?   What about your body? It is the only one you have how will you protect it? Your protection is the food that you put into your body.  And if you take proper care of it,  it will serve you very well for the rest of your life.  Our bodies have an intelligent design, for one thing they let us know when a problem exist.  For instance constipation is a sure sign that the colon is packed with fecal matter that needs to come out.  The first sign that the body gives us is acute pain, letting us know that we need to eat more fruits and veggies, and other whole foods that can push the food through the colon and out of our system. If ignored, the body goes into sub-acute mode meaning the problem goes deeper into the body.  We are still feeling ok and living our everyday life, but now the problem is starting to develop into something deeper.  If we continue ignoring the bodies signals, we begin to experience chronic pain.  Which we are still able to handle with pain pills (drugs).  After a while if we are still not paying attention to the symptoms of pain and discomfort, we then go into degenerative mode.   Most people believe that it means they are healthy if they have just one bowel movement a day.  When in fact we should have a bowel movement at least a half an hour after every meal.  So if we eat three meals a day, we should be having at least three bowel movements within that 24 hour period.  If not then we are actually holding waste in the body.  Where does that waste go?  It builds up in the colon, and plugs up the lymphatic system  it builds up mucus in the body clogs the arteries, and causes plaque on the brain and teeth.  All of that waste accumulates in the bodies system. A tumor is non-other than the body’s way of taking wastes and wrapping it up in a thin membrane so that it won’t affect the blood system.  If enough of these develop they can cause the body to have   cancer, brain tumors, polyps, cysts, fibroids  and other  auto-immune diseases  just to name a few.

Do you know what your  organs do for your body?  Most people would answer no.  But they know where the light switches are in the house and how to use the internet to find information and how to operate their smart phones to take selfies or find out the latest news or sales.  Did you know  every 90 days our bodies produce new blood, that every 11 months our organs are renewed, and that every 2 years the body develops new bones?  Do your own research (find out for yourself). Another amazing thing about our bodies is that it gets rid of a billion dead cells an hour and replaces those dead cells with new ones which are nourished with the food we put into our bodies.  The American diet mainly consist of pizza, pasta, cheese, sugar, hamburgers , hot dogs, macaroni,  and perhaps a small salad on the side with a salad dressing that is full of salt, fake flavoring, and coloring.

We plug  up our colon and arteries with  fake foods that never leave our bodies and our brain is slowly killed off with plaque from the plastics that accumulate in our bodies over time from ingredients that are made to look and taste like food.  We don’t even take the time to do the research to see what we put into our bodies.

The body can only use what we put into it.  It is not complicated, it is so simple.  If you put plastic bottles, hair, and writing paper down the toilet, what’s going to happen?  It is going to get backed up.  Well the same thing happens to the body, it becomes plugged up when we eat pasta, macaroni, cheese, pizza,  white bread,white sugar and a lot of other things that if we think about it, what makes us think it is ok to eat this way? Think about it! What makes us think it’s ok to eat the way we do? The truth of the matter is that we don’t really take the time or energy to think, we just go through the motions and end up with a lot of health problems that we could have avoided.

Think about this! Why would I take a medication whose side effects are worse than the disease I have or it may actually kill me!  Really!  It amazes me, shocks me how we follow whatever we are told without questioning the sense of it.  Just take a chance with your life play Russian Roulette, you may or may not die.  It’s hard to believe that the most intelligent creatures on the planet would be so casual with their lives. I am not saying don’t go to a doctor, I am saying do your own research, know your body,  each body is not the same we are all unique. A good doctor recognizes that what works for one person may not work for another and most doctors here in the United States are not taught nutrition.    Who knows your body better than you?  Just like your finger prints are uniquely your own, likewise is your blood system.  The best thing that you can do for  yourself is find out what works for you, period  you don’t allow someone else to have the keys to your house to let you in  (do you?). So why would you let anyone tell you what is good or bad for your body?  You have the right and the responsibility to find out what’s best for you.

Why am I so passionate about this? It’s  because I see so many people in wheelchairs, crutches, sick and suffering, and living lives that are miserable and painful on a daily basis and I know in my heart that they don’t have to live that way.  Most of them can be cured and live quality lives, but they are blind to the truth of what good nutrition and exercise can do.  They have bought into the belief that there is no hope for them. It makes me sad and angry to see people suffer needlessly.You can’t build a healthy body with unhealthy foods and drink, anymore than you can build a home on a shaky foundation.

Here are three examples of what may work for one person may not work for another:

Tumeric: Tumeric is becoming very popular, it is from a plant found in Asia, and used as a spice in curries.   I personally use it daily for a pain I was having in my ovaries.  Since I have been taking it, (about two years) I don’t have the pain any longer.  Turmeric can also be used for its positive effects on the brain, it enhances cognitive ability which helps defeat Alzheimer’s. It also thins the blood which is good for those with high blood pressure and for those who have problems with blood clots. Here are a few healthy remedies but remember not every body is going to respond in the same way.  So if you try a remedy and it does not work for you, don’t give up, try something different.  I will have different remedies on my blog:

  • Home Remedy for High Blood Pressure:  Mix 1 tsp, honey with 1 tsp. ginger juice and 1 tsp. cumin powder. Take twice daily.
  • Unclog Earwax:  Equal parts of olive oil and apple cider vinegar, apply 2 drops into the ear, leave for 15 min: do the same with the other side…may have to repeat several times if it is really thick.
  • Home Remedy for Sciatica:  Add 1 tsp. turmeric to 1 cup of milk (does not have to be dairy), you can also add a small cinnamon stick.  boil the solution.  Sweeten this healthy drink with honey and drink it once or twice daily.  The pain will not go away immediately, it may take up to a week to feel the results.  As I said earlier I use turmeric everyday, the pain did not go away immediately but now the pain is gone.  Also if you have low blood pressure or have trouble with blood clotting don’t use this remedy.
  • Hypothyroidism:  One drop of each, lemongrass and either peppermint or clove rubbed on the neck and the bottom of the feet a couple of times every day.
  • Mucus In The Lungs:  1 tsp. Marshmallow Root. 1 tbsp. marshmallow root, 1 tbsp. flaxseed, 1 tbsp. sage, 1 lemon sliced, i quart filtered water, 1 cup pure maple syrup. Put the water in a small saucepan then add the syrup, pre-heat the pure maple syrup on medium heat, add the rest of the ingredients and turn the heat on low.  After 15 min take the saucepan off the heat and strain ingredients.  Take a tablespoon of the syrup three times a day.  Use until you feel some improvement and your cough is gone.  Keep the syrup in your fridge.Honey And Cinnamon: Cures allergies, improves acne, relieves cold and flu, improves digestion, energy boost, Uti elimination, gingivitis remedy.  Blend: 1 cup hot water, 1 tbsp. raw honey, 1 tsp. cinnamon. drink as needed.
  • Oil Pulling: I do this twice a day, once in the morning and at night before going to bed.  Sounds so simple but the benefits are amazing.  Removes toxins, improves oral health, increases energy, balances hormones, lessens jaw pain from TMJ, improves skin condition, helps headaches and hangovers, boost immune system, prevents heart disease, reduces inflammation. If anyone wants to know how oil pulling prevents heart disease? Well the teeth affect the heart.  So if you are having problems with your teeth your heart may be in trouble.  Take a tsp. of organic coconut oil and swish it around in your mouth also suck your teeth and gums together for about 15 minutes, the spit it out, do not swallow.
  • Beets: Brighten dull eyes and flush your lymphatic system.  Flushing out your lymphatic system can help bring youthfulness back by clearing cloudiness and whitening of your eyes.  Eat raw in a salad or juice.  (Dr. Oz Show)
  • Headache Relief Drink:  3 mint leaves, 1/2 cucumber sliced, 1/2 lemon (juiced) 1 c. spring water. sip slowly.
  • Peppermint Oil:  Heartburn, indigestion, queasiness, gas, or any other stomach/intestinal symptom.  Peppermint is also anti-viral. Put “4 drops in a small glass of water drink as needed.
